Founded in 1925 in Oberderdingen, BLANCO has spent a century developing products for the point in the kitchen where most daily tasks begin. Its portfolio extends beyond sinks to include mixer taps, drinking-water systems, food preparation accessories, food waste disposers and solutions for organising the cabinet below. These elements come together through BLANCO UNIT, a modular system conceived around the complete kitchen water zone.

Material expertise remains central to the brand. BLANCO produces sinks in stainless steel, ceramic and SILGRANIT, its granite composite containing up to 80% quartz sand. SILGRANIT has a smooth, non-porous surface that resists stains, scratches and heat, while its colour runs through the material rather than being applied as a surface coating. The palette ranges from light neutrals to greys, browns and deep black, allowing the sink to coordinate with worktops, furniture and mixer finishes.

The company has also continued to develop stainless steel beyond conventional polished and brushed surfaces. Its patented DURINOX finish is created through a specialised blasting process that makes the surface more than twice as hard as conventional stainless steel and less susceptible to scratches and fingerprints.

BLANCO sinks are available in numerous bowl configurations and installation formats, including undermount, inset, flush-mounted and apron-front models. Function is often built directly into their geometry. ETAGON, for example, introduces an additional working level inside the bowl through movable rails, creating a practical surface for preparing, rinsing or draining food without occupying the worktop. The more recent INTEOS workstation develops this idea further through coordinated accessories that can be moved across different levels of the sink.

Mixer taps are treated as part of the same system. The range includes pull-out sprays, semi-professional models, sensor controls and solutions designed for installation beneath a window. Coordinated finishes allow the tap, sink, soap dispenser and visible accessories to form a consistent composition.

BLANCO’s DRINK.SYSTEMS bring treated drinking water directly to the kitchen tap. Depending on the selected configuration, the system can provide filtered, chilled, still, medium or sparkling water. The BLANCO UNIT app allows compatible systems to be adjusted according to individual preferences. By integrating these functions into the main kitchen tap, the worktop remains clear and the need for separate filtering appliances or bottled water is reduced.

The system continues inside the base cabinet. SELECT II and the wider organisation range combine waste separation, storage and easy access to cleaning products within the space beneath the sink. The components are designed around the plumbing and technical equipment, turning an often fragmented cabinet into a carefully organised part of the kitchen.

BLANCO also offers food waste disposal units, installed directly below the sink. Food scraps introduced through the drain are finely ground and carried away with the wastewater, reducing the amount of organic residue left in the kitchen bin and helping to limit unpleasant odours. Designed to integrate with the sink and the surrounding cabinet equipment, the disposer adds another practical function to the BLANCO UNIT without occupying the worktop.

BLANCO’s strongest proposition is the way these products work together.
