Founded in 1992 in Civita Castellana, Colacril has made the bathtub the focal point of its bathroom collections. Its catalogue moves confidently between classical references, soft organic profiles and rigorous architectural volumes, offering freestanding, back-to-wall, corner and built-in solutions for bathrooms of very different proportions.
The bathtubs are produced in acrylic and Solid Surface, two materials used to achieve distinct effects. Acrylic lends itself to generous curves, deep internal profiles and coloured exterior shells, while Solid Surface creates continuous matte surfaces, precise edges and the appearance of a single sculpted volume. This material variety gives designers considerable freedom when choosing both the character of the bathtub and the way it occupies the room.
Form is central to the Colacril identity. Venezia recalls the elongated profile of a gondola, while Ravello is defined by a soft silhouette and an exceptionally fine rim. Capri has a more enveloping, rounded shape, whereas Firenze and Siena introduce cleaner geometries suited to restrained contemporary interiors. Mantova and Astoria revisit the freestanding bath with a more classical presence, including decorative rims and traditional feet. The result is a collection that ranges from compact, understated models to dramatic pieces conceived to command the space around them.
Several designs use two precisely joined shells to create the visual impression of a monolithic bathtub. The construction keeps the exterior clean while allowing overflow systems, filling functions and wellness technology to be discreetly integrated. Depending on the model, Colacril offers hydromassage, waterfall filling and lighting effects, adding to the bathing experience without disturbing the clarity of the form.
Colour provides another level of personalisation. Alongside white, selected bathtubs are available with exterior finishes such as Sahara, Lago, Terra, Petrolio, Tramonto and matte black. The contrasting white interior preserves the brightness of the bathing area, while the coloured shell allows the bathtub to connect with furniture, surfaces and the wider interior palette.
The broader Colacril range also includes shower panels, enclosures and wellness systems, allowing the bathtub to sit within a coordinated bathroom concept. Through the wider Spazio Colavene group, it can also be combined with sanitaryware, furniture and tapware developed by complementary Italian brands.
