Italian furniture shaped with the precision of tailored design

Founded in 1976, Ditre Italia began as a specialist manufacturer of upholstered furniture in Cordignano, in the province of Treviso. Its experience was built around the sofa, understood not simply as seating but as the defining element of the living space. Almost fifty years later, production remains closely connected to the company’s headquarters, where industrial organisation is combined with the careful construction traditionally associated with Italian upholstery.

Ditre describes this approach as Designwear: furniture conceived with the same attention to proportion, material and finish found in a well-made garment. The reference to tailoring is visible in the way covers follow the structure, in the alignment of seams and piping, in the transition between leather and fabric and in details intended to be appreciated from every angle. The result is a quiet, contemporary elegance that does not depend on passing trends.

Sofas remain at the centre of the collection. The range moves from compact linear models to generous modular systems with corner elements, chaises longues, islands, pouffes and integrated tables. Different seat depths, backrest configurations and terminal elements allow each composition to respond to the scale and circulation of the room. Comfort is shaped through carefully balanced padding, supportive structures and upholstery selected not only for appearance, but also for the way it behaves over time.

The material library plays an important role in this flexibility. Soft natural leathers, nubuck effects, bouclé, velvet and more structured woven fabrics are offered in a broad palette of neutral, earthy and expressive tones. Several models can be upholstered in a single material or developed through contrasting combinations, allowing the stitching, external shell or individual modules to become part of the composition.

Over time, Ditre Italia has extended this sartorial approach beyond upholstered seating. Armchairs, beds and sofa beds are now joined by dining tables, chairs, sideboards, mirrors, rugs and occasional furniture. Marble, stone, metal, glass and wood introduce a more architectural dimension, creating a complete interior in which soft volumes are balanced by precise surfaces and sculptural elements.

The 2026 collection develops this language through enveloping profiles, fluid proportions and a more restrained expression of luxury. Sofas and armchairs are presented alongside dining furniture and storage pieces, with soft colours complemented by stronger material accents in marble, metal and crystal. Each object retains its own identity while remaining part of a coherent interior landscape.

The collection is shaped through ongoing collaboration with designers including Gabriele and Oscar Buratti, Nika Zupanc, Patrick Norguet, Ramón Esteve, Federica Biasi, Dainelli Studio, Stefano Spessotto and Daniele Lo Scalzo Moscheri. Their different approaches bring variety without fragmenting the brand’s identity, from modular upholstery and organic seating to highly expressive tables and complementary furniture.

Material research also extends to the Greenwear programme. Recycled-fibre fabrics and Ecosy padding, produced from recycled polyester microfibres as an alternative to down, are available within selected projects. Through Longwear, the company can also assess and refurbish sofas, armchairs, sofa beds and beds manufactured from 2015 onwards, replacing upholstery and intervening on structural components where possible.

Ditre Italia brings together the discipline of industrial production and the sensitivity of an upholstery atelier. Its strength lies in the quality of the details, the depth of its modular systems and the ability to coordinate living, dining and sleeping areas through a refined and recognisable material language.
