Radiators designed as part of the architecture

Founded in 1994 near Bergamo, BREM specialises in steel radiators and heated towel rails. The company approaches heating as part of the interior, producing pieces intended to remain visible and contribute to the composition of the room.

Steel tubes, flat profiles, blades and panels form a catalogue with very different visual characters. LAME uses slender vertical elements to create a precise rhythm on the wall. CrossFRAME is built from overlapping rectangular frames, leaving parts of the surface behind it visible. Collections such as HERG, SO-FLEX and CHEM explore other possibilities, from narrow architectural profiles to flexible compositions and modular structures inspired by industrial pipework.

Certain models can be installed away from the wall and used as room dividers. In an open-plan interior, the radiator can separate functions without creating a solid partition. In the bathroom, heated versions incorporate rails, hooks or openings for towels without adopting the familiar ladder form of a conventional towel warmer.

Made-to-measure production is one of BREM’s most useful advantages. Many models are offered in a wide range of heights and widths, while selected designs can be adapted in size and sometimes in shape. The radiator can therefore respond to the available wall, the required thermal output and the proportions of the interior, rather than forcing the project around a small number of standard dimensions.

The colour range includes more than 80 glossy, satin and metallic finishes, with chrome available for certain models. Recent additions recreate brushed gold, bronze, copper, nickel and gunmetal through painted surfaces. These finishes allow the radiator to relate closely to taps, handles, lighting and other metal details within the project.

BREM’ART takes the idea of the radiator as a visible object much further. Developed with artists, the collection uses relief, engraving, texture, oxidation and graphic composition to transform the heating surface into an individual artwork. These pieces are not conventional radiators given a decorative covering. Their artistic treatment and heating function are conceived as a single object.

Alongside hydronic models, BREM produces electric radiators and towel warmers fitted with thermostats that meet Ecodesign requirements. Selected versions include Wi-Fi control, making it possible to manage temperature, schedules and operating parameters remotely.

BREM radiators are manufactured in Italy by specialists in steel forming, welding and finishing. The range is particularly relevant when heating is considered from the beginning of the project, whether as a discreet wall element, a room divider or a strong visual presence. Made-to-measure production, more than 80 finishes and a catalogue extending from restrained linear models to BREM’ART give architects far more choice than a conventional radiator range.
