RONAL Bathrooms brings together four specialist brands with complementary expertise: RONAL and KUDOS for shower solutions, KAROL for Italian bathroom furniture and bathtubs, and GLASS 1989 for wellness. This structure gives the group an unusually broad reach, extending from an individually configured glass enclosure to a fully coordinated bathroom, spa or private wellness area.
The company’s core expertise remains the shower enclosure. Established in 1981 and formerly known as SanSwiss, RONAL develops shower doors, enclosures, walk-in systems, bath screens, columns and trays at its main production facilities in Jičín, Czech Republic, and Timișoara, Romania. Its catalogue covers framed, semi-frameless and frameless constructions, with pivoting, hinged, sliding and folding doors, as well as corner, quadrant, pentagonal, U-shaped and walk-in configurations.
This variety is particularly valuable in projects where the shower must respond to an existing architectural condition rather than a standard plan. The range includes compact corner solutions, generous enclosures for larger bathrooms and made-to-measure models for non-standard widths. Depending on the collection, fixed panels and doors can be adapted to different dimensions, while wall compensation profiles absorb installation tolerances without disturbing the overall geometry.
Glass is treated as both a structural and visual material. Collections are available with different glass thicknesses, reaching 8 mm safety glass in ranges such as PUR and ORIANA. Depending on the model, designers can choose from transparent or privacy-oriented glass, decorative surfaces and screen-printed patterns. This makes it possible to control openness, light and privacy without introducing an opaque partition into the bathroom.
The Aquaperle treatment reduces the adhesion of water and deposits to the glass, making regular cleaning easier and helping the surface retain its clarity. Removable or easily accessible components, discreet seals and reduced-profile constructions further simplify maintenance. In newer collections, technical parts are increasingly integrated into the architecture of the enclosure. ORIANA, for example, combines 8 mm glass with a drill-free wall compensation profile, a low 5 mm threshold and made-to-measure dimensions, including sliding doors up to 2000 mm wide.
Profiles and hardware are no longer limited to chrome or black. RONAL Bathrooms has introduced five brushed metallic finishes: Bronze, Gold, Gun Metal, Copper and Nickel. These sit alongside established polished, matte and colour-coated options, allowing the enclosure to coordinate with taps, accessories, lighting and furniture. The colour concept also connects different parts of the group’s portfolio. WALK-IN EASY One Colour, for example, shares six coordinated shades with KAROL’s AMIATA furniture, creating continuity between glass profiles, cabinetry and the wider interior palette.
The shower range is completed by mineral composite trays in square, rectangular and special formats. The slim DUNE tray is only 30 mm high, has a stone-effect surface and can be trimmed during installation. Other models offer floor-level or recessed installation, anti-slip textures, multiple standard dimensions and custom RAL colours, giving architects greater freedom when coordinating the shower with the floor finish.
The addition of KUDOS broadens this technical knowledge with British expertise in shower enclosures, trays and high-performance water containment. Together, RONAL and KUDOS cover a wide spectrum, from practical framed systems to minimal walk-in compositions and bespoke frameless solutions.
Through KAROL, the group extends into Italian-made bathroom furniture, washbasins and design bathtubs. Modular collections allow storage, basin configurations, finishes and dimensions to be adapted to the project, while coordinated colours create a direct visual relationship with the shower area. Bathtubs include freestanding, back-to-wall and corner models, enabling the same design language to continue beyond the enclosure.
GLASS 1989 adds a separate level of specialisation in wellness. Its portfolio includes indoor and outdoor spas, saunas, hammams, multifunctional showers, whirlpool baths and modular wellness compositions. Systems can combine steam, hydromassage, chromotherapy and integrated lighting within solutions developed for private homes, hospitality and professional spa environments. The ESCAPE portable spa range, for example, brings together targeted massage jets, underwater lighting, ambient chromotherapy and insulated construction in four ready-to-use formats.
RONAL Bathrooms is therefore more than a manufacturer of shower enclosures. Its real advantage lies in the combination of precise glass engineering, extensive dimensional flexibility, coordinated finishes, Italian furniture and dedicated wellness technology.
